I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the results from the Bull PizzaQue Pizza Stone. Wood fired pizza has been the “it” love child of the culinary world for the past couple years. I’m sure no matter where you live, there is a specialty/artisan pizza shop somewhere close by. But, it is hard to replicate these pizzas because of the extremely high temperatures (600- to 800-degrees F) , the wood fire (subtle smokiness), and the price tag of of having your own backyard pizza oven (a couple thousand bucks).
The PizzaQue Pizza Stone has a raised metal base with an attached thermometer which which I liked for a couple reasons: It raises the stone off the grate and higher into the lid of your grill (remember heat rises), plus the built in thermometer lets you know how hot it is inside your grill – this is important if your grill lid doesn’t have a thermometer – it needs to be HOT, HOT, HOT!
Set it in the center of your grill over indirect heat and the hot air from the fire circulates over the pizza producing a nice crisp thin crust and a well-cooked top of bubbling cheesy deliciousness. If you want to add a little more artisnal flair to your pizza, throw a couple oak wood chips in your smoke box… you’ll love it!
I’ll definitely be making more pizzas with the PizzaQue Pizza Stone… check back for recipes to come.
Cheers and happy grilling -

The PizzaQue is the best stone for any grill! Far superior to any round ceramic stone. Also works great for tortillas and quesadillas.
Absolutely right, Mike! Keep an eye out for more pizzas, quesadillas, and flat bread idea. What do you like to stuff your quesadillas with?
